Headaches, Migraines, Facial Pain
Everyone, at some point in their life, has experienced a headache. But for some individuals, chronic headaches, migraines, and facial pains have become so disruptive and painful, causing patients to suffer and retreat from their friends and family, unable to lead a normal life.
Our Procedures
At Aspire Pain Relief Institute, we have a team of board-certified physicians who are extensively trained in the arena of migraine and facial pain. We have several effective treatment protocols that work to treat the source of the pain, rather than masking the symptoms with addictive opioid medication. Effectively treating facial pain and recurring headaches and migraines is more than simply addressing the pain.
The true solution to treating it is to find the “pain generator,” or the source of where the pain originates from.
Occipital Nerve Stimulation or Neurostimulation
This treatment can help reduce headache pain by applying a low voltage of electricity to the
nerves or the spinal column. The procedure is very effective and an innovative alternative for
intractable headaches.
Occipital Nerve or Trigeminal Nerve Branches Blocks and Ablation
This procedure delivers a cortisone-based numbing injection into the scalp at the back of the
patient’s head or forehead. Patients typically respond well to this treatment for nerve pain as well as severe tension headaches.
Botox ® Injections
This injection works by temporarily reducing muscle contractions in the injection areas, reducing
pain signals being transmitted from nerve endings in the face and head onto the brain. As of
January 2026, Aspire Pain Relief no longer provides this service, but we will refer appropriately.
Ethical Medication Management
In some instances, a patient may benefit from a controlled medication management program alongside their other treatment plan. This works best when the patient is committed to leading a more active life, and can include exercise, tobacco cessation, and weight loss. All patients undergo an extensive physiological examination to determine whether medication is a viable route for their
journey to recovery. After identifying and diagnosing the root cause of the pain, your physician may recommend a treatment plan consisting of any or a combination of these procedures.
Trust Aspire for True Pain Relief
Migraines and facial pain can be difficult to treat for a number of reasons. The trigeminal nerve is a large, complex nerve that covers the face, including the areas surrounding the eyes and the nose. When a patient experiences facial pain, they often first turn to a dentist, optometrist, or an ENT physician to find relief, not realizing that the pain is neurological. In the same vein, many migraine and headache sufferers are misunderstood by their family and friends. Everyone experiences headaches now and then, but not everyone experiences them the same way.
